Uses:
1. Insufficient estrogen supplementation. Commonly used in the treatment of female hypogonadism, bilateral oophorectomy, atrophic vaginitis, genital dryness, menopausal syndromes such as hot flashes, sweating, and mental and neurological symptoms.
2. 40% of patients with metastatic breast cancer treated with estrogen can achieve remission.
