This product is a typical representative of thiazine diuretics, ranking the first in the US in 1985. Mice were injected with LD50 for 590mg/kg and LD50 for oral administration was greater than 8000mg/kg.

This product has the antihypertensive effect. It can enhance the effect of lowering blood pressure with the combination of Li’s medicinal paste, hypotensive application, or Apocynum venetum. This product also has the effect of anti diuretic and can be used to treat diabetes insipidus.
